On Azure Wings

On Azure Wings is a solo journaling RPG played with a deck of cards, a tumbling block tower and any available recording device.

You are a pilot in the infamous Azure Guard. Mech pilots who defend the great Fleet of Glass by confining themsleves within their mechs for several years, cutting themselves off from the people they have sworn to defend and dedicate themslevs fully to their responsibility.

On Azure Wings asks its players to think about the isolation that comes with responsbility, the ways in which we change over time, carrying that weight. Will you remain static, dedicated to your caue? Or will you find something new within yourself, and allow the flow of time to alter you.

This game was first conceived during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and as such is written as a reflection of my time in lockdown, and how myself, the people I care about, and the world changed around us while we did our part and stayed in isolation.
